Here are some new restaurants to check out around the city this weekend.

MIDTOWN, NY — Restaurant week might be underway, but if you're looking to check out a new place instead this weekend Patch has got you covered. Here's our weekly roundup of new bars and restaurants around New York City.


Nusr-Et

Location: Midtown, 60 W. 53rd St.

What to eat: Viral sensation Nusret Gökçe, known as "Salt Bae," serves up a variety of different cuts of steak along with burgers, lamb, sausage and more. Steaks range a whopping $70 to $250 depending on the cut, but if you're lucky Salt Bae himself will slice it up and drizzle salt on it.


Jax BBQ

Location: Hell's Kitchen, 496 Ninth Ave.

What to eat: A wood pit BBQ spot dishing out classics like spare ribs, pulled pork, a large selection of burgers and more with prices ranging from $14 to $20. The spot also has alligator tail fritters and fried catfish.


Javelina

Location: Upper East Side, 1395 Second Ave.

Location: SoHo, 137 Sullivan St.

What to eat: Grain bowls, yogurts, puddings and more fill the menu of the new all-day cafe with a focus on healthy eating and donating a portion of its profits to charities. The space also serves coffee, tea and beer.
