Robber Breaks Into Midtown School, Police Say
A man forced his way into a language school on West 36th Street and stole hundreds from cash registers inside the building.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man who broke into a Midtown Manhattan school and emptied cash registers, police said.
The unknown man forced his way into the New York Language Center on West 37th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues on Friday night around 9, police said. Once inside the building, the man broke into several locked cash registers and emptied out the machines, police said.
After pocketing $800 in cash, the man fled the building in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s or 40s who was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, red gloves and dark pants, police said. The NYPD released photos of the man taken by security cameras inside the school.
