MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man with a gun was stopped from entering Trump Tower late Tuesday night, according to authorities.
A Secret Service official said they stopped the man at Trump Tower just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday as Donald Trump's motorcade was approaching the building.
According to the Secret Service, the man walked through a secured area on the sidewalk and was taken into custody when he refused to listen to Secret Service agents. After a search, agents found a concealed handgun, however they say the man was a former police officer and had a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
