MIDTOWN, NY — A jock sporting a football jersey emblazoned with the unlucky number 13 will soon found out how far his luck will take him.

On Tuesday at about 9:30 p.m., the jersey-wearing sports fan ran up to a 57-year-old woman inside Penn Station and ripper the purse off of her shoulder, according to police.

The jock pulled with so much force that it ripped the straps of the bag and threw the woman to the ground, officials said, who suffered pain and bruising but refused medical attention at the scene.
