SUTTON PLACE, NY — A Sutton Place cheese store that has operated in the quaint east side neighborhood for decades will be featured on the CNBC show "The Profit."

Ideal Cheese Shop on First Avenue between East 51st and 52nd streets faces crushing debts that threaten both the business and its owner's personal finances as "The Profit" host Marcus Lemonis attempts to come up with a strategy to save the neighborhood staple. The episode — titled "The Big Cheese" — airs on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 10 p.m.

Ideal Cheese Shop, which was founded 55 years ago as a butter and egg company is run by father and son partners that control 70% and 30% of the business respectively. The store features more than 250 types of cheese from more than 17 different countries as well as a small grocery selection.

Facing more than $400,000 in debt with a six-figure annual rent, the business is on its last legs before Lemonis comes on as a consultant. In addition to hosting "The Profit," Lemonis serves as the CEO of Camping World. Lemonis often buys a stake in the businesses featured on the show and becomes and active player in the turn around.
