Teen Arrested After Times Square Shooting: Police

Officials said they arrested and charged a 15-year-old boy in connection to a shooting that left three other teens injured earlier in July.

MIDTOWN, NY — Police arrested a teen on Thursday following the shocking Times Square shooting that left three other teenaged boys injured, officials said.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a loaded weapon, according to police.

The shooting happened on July 17, just minutes before midnight, officials said.

Three teens, aged 15, 17 and 18-years-old, were all struck by bullets at about 11:45 p.m. as an armed man fired shots in the busy tourist destination, police said.

Two of the teens were shot in the leg and were taken by first responders to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, officials said. The third was grazed in the shoulder and brought himself to Harlem Hospital, police added.

According to officials, the shooting was believed to have stemmed from a disagreement between two groups of young men who ran into each other in the famous tourist destination.
