Teen Shot At During Daytime Attack In Midtown, Police Say
One of the attackers has been arrested, but police are still searching for the shooter.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man who attacked a teenager during a broad daylight assault in Midtown Manhattan is facing charges, police said.
Eric Raheem, 36, was charged with assault and criminal possession of a firearm in connection with the Friday assault of an 18-year-old on the corner of West 42nd Street and Ninth Avenue, an NYPD spokesperson said. A woman who fired a shot at the teenager during the attack has managed to avoid arrest, police said.
Raheem is accused of approaching the victim on the street about 1 p.m. and physically assaulting him, police said. During the attack, an unknown woman approached the teenager, pulled a handgun and fired off one shot on the busy Midtown Manhattan block, police said.

Raheem and the shooter fled the scene of the attack in different directions, police said. The shot did not hit anybody, and the teenage victim was not injured during the assault, an NYPD spokesman said.
