Two-Alarm Fire Breaks Out in Parking Garage at Sheraton Times Square
One person suffered minor injuries in the fire at the Sheraton Times Square on Thursday just after noon.
TIMES SQUARE, NY — One person suffered minor injuries after a fire broke out at the Sheraton Times Square midday on Thursday.
According to a fire official, a car fire broke out in the high-rise's underground parking garage three levels below ground. The FDNY responded to the fire around noon and had it under control at about 1 p.m. The fire was contained to the one car, but there was heavy smoke in the garage.
One person in the parking garage suffered from minor smoke inhalation, the FDNY said. Three firefighters were also treated for minor injuries, a spokesman said.

The 53-story hotel has on-site parking on 52nd Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues.
