Watch Live CNN Election Coverage at the Movies Nov. 8

CNN and AMC partnered to bring the election to a theater in Midtown and a theater in Jersey.

MIDTOWN, NY — The only thing better than watching this election end is watching it end on the big screen, right? If viewing the election in real time on a movie-theater-sized screen sounds appealing to you, you might want to sign up for the AMC Theatres and CNN partnership, Election Night in America, which will feature live CNN coverage on the big screen in two AMC movie theaters in the New York/New Jersey area.

The CNN/AMC partnership is nationwide, but just two theaters in the New York City metro area are participating: Manhattan's AMC Empire 25 at 234 W 42nd St., between Seventh and Eighth avenues, and AMC Garden State in Paramus, New Jersey.

The AMC Empire 25 is the "blue" location, and the Jersey theater is the "red" location.

"On election night, as Americans gather in their communities to watch the conclusion of this historic election, we recognize that Democrats want to cheer with fellow Democrats, and Republicans cheer with fellow Republicans," said AMC Theatres' Elizabeth Frank. "...so we've designated 'Blue' and 'Red' theaters in each participating market."

You can RSVP to either depending on your political party, and doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event starts at 7 p.m. when the polls officially close. The event is only open to AMC Stubs members, who can bring up to two guests.
