WATCH: Mike Pence Gets Boo'd Like Crazy at Hamilton Showing

MIDTOWN, MANHATTAN — Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended a showing Hamilton the musical on Broadway Friday night to intense boos — and some cheers — in the audience.

Video of Pence entering the Richard Rodgers Theatre on West 46th Street shows tension in the audience as the boos outweighed the cheers.

After the show, the cast of Hamilton had this statement to share with Pence:

"We are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children... but we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values to work on behalf of all of us… all of us."
