Woman Sexually Assaulted, Bitten In Manhattan Nail Salon, Police Say

MIDTOWN, NY — A man bit a woman and attempted to rape her at a Midtown nail salon on Monday, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, the 34-year-old woman was at a nail salon near West 36th Street and Broadway when a man came in and pinned her in a corner on Monday at 6 p.m.

The perpetrator took the victim's pants and underwear off and sexually assaulted her, police said.
The perpetrator bit the victim on the cheek and attempted to rape her before she fought him off, police said.

Then, the man ran away in an unknown direction, and when police arrived at the scene, the victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, officials said.
Police said no arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is underway. Police have not released a description of the suspect, but the NYPD has released surveillance photos of the suspect.
