Woman Shoved, Man Punched In Random Midtown Attack, Police Say
A man is accused of assaulting two people at random on Sixth Avenue and West 56th Street.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Police are searching for a man who attacked two people at random on a Midtown Manhattan street, an NYPD spokesperson said.
The suspect approached a 67-year-old woman on Tuesday night on Sixth Avenue and West 56th Street and shoved her to the ground, police said. When a man came over to help the woman, the attacker punched him in the face, police said.
Police said that the initial assault of the woman was "without any provocation."

Medics treated the man for a cut under his eye and scrapes to his elbow, police said. The woman suffered no known injuries.
