Woman Slashed On Midtown Subway Platform: Police
A woman was slashed by a stranger on a subway platform early Tuesday morning, police said.

MIDTOWN, NY – On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at approximately 3:10 a.m., a 28-year-old woman was standing on the northbound C train platform inside the 50th Street C/E station, police said, when an unknown man approached her.
A verbal dispute began, and the man eventually slashed the woman in the torso with an unknown instrument, authorities said.
The victim sustained a laceration to the torso and was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The slasher fled the subway station on foot to parts unknown, according to officials.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing. There were no updates as of Wednesday morning, a police spokesperson confirmed.
