Workers Dangling From Midtown Building Rescued Safely, FDNY Says

Two workers were rescued when a scaffolding partially separated from a building on East 48th Street.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — Two workers were rescued from a scaffold dangling from a Midtown Manhattan building on Thursday, an FDNY spokesman said.

Firefighters pulled the workers from the scaffolding around 12:30 p.m., the FDNY spokesman said. The platform became partially separated from a building at 12 E. 48th St., located between Madison and Fifth avenues.

Neither worker suffered injuries during the rescue, an FDNY spokesman said.
