The Rocky Point High School robotics team Tesseract participated in the FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifying Tournament on Feb. 11 at The Stony Brook School. After a long, exciting day of competition the team was awarded the Judges Choice Award. The special award is given to the team whose unique efforts, performance or dynamics merit recognition.

The school district congratulates team members Eve Hald, Kristian Hald, Amy Johnson, Peter Lee, William Lin, Nick O’Shea, Andrew Renta, Leila Riedl, Sofia Santos, Kian Tewes, Faith Wozny and Misha Zaslavsky as well as coaches Mark Moorman and Karen Gambino for their leadership.
