Nicole Fuller reports on the indictment of a Rocky Point man who prosecutors say defrauded two dozen victims out of $700,000, using their investments in fraudulent businesses for his own personal use. Matthew Gallagher, 37, has been charged with grand larceny, identity theft, attempted grand larceny, scheme to defraud, petit larceny, and issuing a bad check. (Newsday)
2. Andy Slawson lists Newsday's top senior athletes. Arianna Furbush (Mount Sinai) cheerleading, Jake Wilson (Shoreham-Wading River) football, Liam Preston (Miller Place) boys swimming, Connor Pearce (Shoreham-Wading River) wrestling, and Leif Dahlberg (Miller Place/Newfield) boys fencing were all named 2020-21 Newsday All-Long Island Senior Athletes.
