Motorcyclist Injured After Striking Deer In Sound Beach: Police

The 30-year-old Coram man was taken to John T. Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson for treatment, Suffolk police said.

SOUND BEACH, NY — A motorcyclist was injured after he collided with a deer in Sound Beach on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.

The 30-year-old Coram man's bike struck the deer on Route 25A, near Patchogue Drive, at around 8:20 p.m., according to police.

He was taken to John T. Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.
