1. Michael DeSantis has the story on an attack in Coram Thursday. Suffolk County police are searching for a man who raped a woman in a wooded trail area. The assault was at Route 112 and Skips Rd. around 1:45 p.m. The man was reported to have a dark complexion with a medium build and was unshaven. (Patch)

2. Brian Heyman profiles Nick Bottari, a Shoreham-Wading River graduate who played seven years of college baseball and is looking toward professional drafts soon. Bottari was All-American in high school and helped lead Southeastern University to a NAIA title. (Newsday)

3. Mark Harrington has an update on a dispute between LIPA and Cross-Sound Cable Co. The cable company is suing LIPA because the Shoreham to New Haven cable hasn't operated since an explosion last summer. LIPA maintains the failure was due to Cross-Sound Cable's equipment. (Newsday)

4. BBC America has a few fun facts about the Dr. Who episode, “Nikola Tesla’s Night of Terror." The real Tesla Tower that's featured in the show was located in Shoreham, built in 1901. The tower is gone but the building still stands, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It may one day be a museum about the famous inventor. (BBC America)
