Remember Joe Keany, Support Miller Place Athletics at Annual Run

Joe Keany, a 1986 graduate of Miller Place who was All County in cross country and All Conference in track, is remembered for his kindness and generosity. Organizers of the 17th Annual Joe Keany Memorial Run hope his spirit lives on each year in the event.

This year the 5K is USATF (USA Track and Field) certified. Day of race registration goes from 7-8:30am with the 1 mile fun run ($10) starting at 8:45 and the 5k ($25) starting at 9:30. Tee shirts will be given to the first 350 runners and age group medals and post event snacks will be provided. The top male and female runners are awarded the Joe Keany Cup.

Proceeds will go to support the Miller Place Booster Club and to two track scholarships for the district.
