Rocky Point Students Learn During Fire Prevention Week

Members of the Sound Beach Fire Department and Rocky Point Fire Department visited Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School during Fire Prevention Week on Oct. 11.

Kindergarten students learned about some of the different emergency vehicles and climbed aboard rescue vehicles for a firsthand look. They also listened to emergency responders speak about fire safety protocols and procedures.

“A big thank-you to our fire department volunteers for giving our students an incredible experience while covering an important topic,” Principal Jason Westerlund said.
