Rotary Club Awards Scholarships to 3 Local Students
Awards recognize students who have made significant community service contributions.
Rocky Point's Rotary Club has announced its Bruce Giles Memorial Scholarship award winners: Emma Larson from Miller Place High School, Joseph Radenberg from Rocky Point High School and Kerri Madden from Shoreham-Wading River High School.
According to the Rotary Club, the main criteria for the scholarship was community service, coinciding with the club's motto of "service above self."
Each student received a $1,000 scholarship. This fall, Emma will be attending SUNY Institute of Technology, Joseph will be attending SUNY Albany and Kerri will be attending High Point University.
