Police are looking for someone who stole inspection stickers from an auto body shop. And police were on site at a nearby school after social media threats.

2. Newsday explains that Gov. Kathy Hochul wrote a letter to a federal agency asking for Yaphank and North Bellport residents to have a say in a proposed waste transfer station to be built near Brookhaven Town landfill. The Yapank project would cost $182 million. (Subscription: Newsday)
