Good morning! Here’s a look at what’s happening in the area this Tuesday:

- According to the National Weather Service, sunny skies with a high near 77 degrees. 

- In case you missed it, politicians and locals who have helped bring the Rails to Trails project to fruition celebrated yesterday a big hurdle they've jumped, which is an agreement between LIPA and Suffolk County to OK the LIPA-owned land for the trail. Read more here.

- Congrats to the Miller Place FD Extinguishers! The fire department's drill team took home a trophy – for the third time in six years they've been competing – at a statewide drill competition in upstate New York last weekend. Also, hats off to Rocky Point, who finished in fourth place.
