1. Peggy Spellman Hoey has the details on Rocky Point High School announcing its top seniors: Ashlynne Xavier is the Class of 2021 valedictorian, and Fiona McEvoy is salutatorian. Xavier is heading to attend the University of Rochester to major in biomedical engineering. McEvoy will attend Commonwealth Honors College at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she plans to major in chemistry. (Patch)

  • The Mount Sinai–Miller Place Chamber Alliance will host a live outdoor chamber meeting on Wednesday, June 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Hamlet at Willow Creek in Mt. Sinai. The annual Chamber Scholarship Event awards one senior from Mt. Sinai High School and one senior from Miller Place High School a $500 scholarship each. (Patch)
  • Long Island Lending a Helping Hand is hosting a yard sale event tomorrow at the Rocky Point Knights of Columbus, 683 Rte. 25A from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to drop off non-perishable items or take anything needed.(Facebook)
