2. A Holbrook restaurant was burglarized overnight for the second time after being part of a string of burglaries in the fall. Hummus Mediterranean Grill, a Greek restaurant on Main Street, had its window broken by a burglar at about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday. (Patch)
3. The breach that opened west of Smith Point during Superstorm Sandy has narrowed dramatically over the past several years. Experts don't know if it will close, but if it does the health of the water in Bellport and Patchogue bays could suffer. (Subscription: Newsday)
