Girls Capture District Softball Championship at North Shore

The girls rocked in Rocky Point as they captured the nine and ten-year-old softball championship for district 36 in a game against Riverhead on Wednesday evening. Ending after four innings, the All-Star team from North Shore Little League playing on their home field beat the rivals 14-1.

Another Tattoo Parlor Replacing Lucky Cat Tats In Miller Place

Those disappointed at the closing of Lucky Cat Tattoos a year ago will be happy to hear they will soon have a new tattoo option in the same location. 

There is no further information available at this time, but a simple sign reading "TATTOO" recently went up at the store, which has been dark since Lucky Cat Tattoos closed in 2012.

The small shopping center at 150 Route 25a in Mt. Sinai will soon have its newest business. Heritage Chemists is coming soon to the long empty corner spot at the center.
 
Teen Mauled by Boat Propellor in Mount Sinai Accident

A teen boater was seriously injured by a propeller on Sunday evening while fishing in the Long Island Sound near Mount Sinai, according to Suffolk County Police. 

Police said an 18-year-old boy seriously injured his arm after a strong wave caused him to lose grip on the wheel, carrying him overboard and into the boat's propeller at roughly 6:15 p.m. Sunday.
