15-Year-Old Accused Of Stabbing, Killing Man, 32, On Long Island: Police

The juvenile was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, police say

MINEOLA, NY — A 15-year-old was arrested after stabbing and killing a man in Mineola Friday, police said.

According to Nassau County police, the homicide took place at 12:29 a.m.

According to detectives, Third Precinct officers responded to a 911 call about a stabbing at a Roosevelt Place residence. Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old man with a stab wound to his abdomen, police said.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a hospital physician, police said. A 15-year-old male was arrested at the scene without incident, police said.

The teen was charged with second-degree murder, police said.

He was slated for arraignment on Saturday at the youth section of First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
