Levy will fill the seat formerly held by David Adhami.
DeSena will be serving her third term starting in January.
The incumbent Bruce Blakeman received President Donald Trump's endorsement this week.
"It will ensure that officers are prepared for all the dangerous encounters that they face," Attorney General Pam Bondi said.
The county executive, who signed the executive order on Friday, said it clarifies the mask ban from last Aug.
Anyone on the county SPCA animal abuser registry will not be able to own an animal, county officials said.

But, the county executive wants the federal government to give Nassau access to its mitigation equipment.

The county executive was depicted in a mailer by the local Civil Service Employees Association union as a devil with horns.
