Police say someone entered the store through a security cash drawer.
MINEOLA, NY — Police are investigating after a man broke into a Mineola gas station and stole several cigars. A worker at BP Gas Station on Jericho Turnpike arrived at work around 6 a.m. Wednesday and noticed multiple cigars were not in their boxes, Nassau County police said.
After reviewing store security video, workers discovered a man had entered the store around 10 p.m. Tuesday through a security cash drawer, took cigars and left through the same cash drawer. The man then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Police said the man was wearing a white shirt, black jeans, and possibly a white bandana covering his face.
