Some good news for our furry friends in the Town of North Hempstead: Clark Botanic Garden may soon welcome dogs every Wednesday.
The Town Board will vote on April 17 for dogs to be allowed on the 12 acres and winding trails in Albertson one day per week. Dogs are currently not allowed into the garden.
“I am so pleased that we will be considering this change so that we can welcome dogs to Clark Botanic Garden every Wednesday," Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth said in a press release. “Dogs are a part of a family and now no one has to stay at home while the rest of the family enjoys the beauty of our lovely Clark Garden. Everyone is welcomed, even our four-legged friends.”

All dogs would be required to be on leashes and owners would have to pick up after their pet. Doggie bags would be supplied around the garden.
