Incumbent Ra Declared Winner Over Kumar Jindal In Assembly District 19
Incumbent Ed Ra (R) was challenged by Sanjeev Jumar Jindal (D) in the Nassau County Assembly District.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Voters went to the polls on Tuesday to elect a new Assembly member from the 19th NY Assembly District. Incumbent Ed Ra (R) is being challenged by Sanjeev Kumar Jindal (D) who is seeking his first term.
Shortly after midnight, Newsday called the race for Ra.

Ed Ra — 33,409 votes
Sanjeev Kumar Jindal — 16,764 votes

Ra is a 12-year incumbent in the district, which includes Mineola and Garden City. Ra won in 2020 with 58 percent of the vote.
Sanjeev Kumar Jindal is a businessman from Williston Park who founded South Asians for Empowerment (SAFE.)
The district has a population of 135, 368.
