Man With Extensive Rap Sheet Across US, Charged In Nassau: Police
Josue Oliva, an illegal migrant from Guatemala, was turned over to ICE officials, police said.
MINEOLA, NY — An illegal migrant from Guatemala was arrested in Nassau County on multiple charges, police said.
Josue Oliva was charged on Thursday on charges that include criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a forged instrument and criminal impersonation, police said.
Additionally, Oliva has an extensive criminal record spanning several states, authorities said.

“We continue to work with our federal law enforcement partners to keep Nassau the safest county in America,” County Executive Bruce Blakeman said.
Oliva entered the U.S. in 1993, Blakeman said.

That year he was charged twice in California with automotive grand larceny, He was arrested twice in 1994 in Nevada on burglary and grand larceny. In 2014, Oliva was arrested twice on felony charges. Also that year he was arrested three times in Kansas on misdemeanors and was deported back to Guatemala, Blakeman said.
Nassau police immediately turned Oliva over ICE for deportation.
Authorities say Oliva entered the U.S. on January 15, 1993. He was arrested in California twice that year on separate charges of automotive grand larceny. He was also arrested twice in Nevada in 1994 – once for burglary and once for grand larceny. He was arrested twice in Texas in 2014 on felony charges. That same year, he was arrested three times in Kansas on misdemeanor charges and was deported back to Guatemala.
FBI and ICE officials say Oliva has 16 documented aliases, seven dates of birth, and two Alien Registration Numbers on file, police said.
