Funeral Arrangements Announced For Hon. Reginald LaFayette
The Westchester Elections Commissioner died Jan. 15.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Funeral arrangements for the Hon. Reginald LaFayette, the Westchester County Elections Commissioner who died Jan. 15, have been announced.
LaFayette, who was 69, was not only a civic and political leader but also a mentor. "Reggie's public service was exemplary as well as his dedication to ensuring that people of color and women were elected at every level of government," said Westchester Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins.
On Thursday, there will be a viewing from 4-7 p.m. and a Masonic service at 7 p.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 141 S. 9th Ave. in Mount Vernon.

On Friday, his body will lie in state in the Rotunda at Mount Vernon City Hall. Public viewing time is from noon to 4 p.m.
On Saturday, after a 9-10 a.m. viewing, there will be a Homegoing Service at 10 a.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church.

At all three events, COVID-19 protocols will be followed: masks will be required as will proof of vaccination. Temperature checks will be done.
