This will be the 16th year that Pepe's will be offering the seasonal cult classic. The pie "features a delectable blend of fresh, native tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, garlic, basil, grated Pecorino Romano cheese and a touch of imported olive oil, all atop the pizzeria’s signature crispy yet chewy, slightly charred crust."

Pepe's was founded in New Haven, Connecticut by Frank Pepe in 1925, who had immigrated to the U.S. in 1909 at age 16.
