On January 23, after an investigation was started by criminal investigators in the Westchester County DA's Office, a search warrant was executed at Beccan's home in Mount Vernon, with assistance from members of the FBI Westchester Safe Streets Task Force and the Mount Vernon Police Department.

During the search, investigators found two loaded 9mm pistols and five high-capacity magazines. The two loaded firearms included a stolen Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm pistol and a SWD M-11 9mm pistol, according to prosecutors. Investigators also found evidence tying these weapons to Beccan.

"This case is a stark reminder of the incredibly dangerous firepower that our law enforcement officers and innocent civilians face on our streets," Cacace said. "Our office will continue to team up with our partners in law enforcement to take these illegal weapons off our streets and to bring those who violate our gun laws to justice."
Beccan is set to be sentenced on December 5.
