Chick-Fil-A Seeks Variances From Town ZBA: Upcoming Meetings

NANUET, NY — John Adams famously said, "Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people, who have a right … and a desire to know."

There are plenty of upcoming chances to help tend to our democracy close to the roots. Two public meetings are scheduled for this week that affect Nanuet.

Monday

Clarkstown Zoning Board of Appeals, 7 p.m., Town Hall. Among the agenda items: Seeking variances and a special permit for parking and drive aisles in the floodplain, in order to demolish the existing building at 58-90 Route 59 in Nanuet and construct a Chick-Fil-A restaurant with drive-thru and additional site improvements.
