ALBANY, NY — The state's Department of Motor Vehicles will suspend the licenses of drivers on Friday who are not in adherence with a guideline from the COVID-19 pandemic that let some put off their vision test.

According to the alert on the DMV website, if your license expired between March 1, 2020 and Aug. 31, 2021, and you renewed online by self-certifying your vision but have not submitted an approved vision test since then, your license will be suspended as of Dec. 1.

"Submit your vision test now to avoid suspension," DMV officials said.
