Great American Cookies Returns To Rockland
The iconic store, home of the original Cookie Cake, is at the Palisades Center.

WEST NYACK, NY —An iconic store returned to Rockland as Great American Cookies opened its newest location at Palisades Center with a grand opening on Friday.
It is the only Great American Cookies location in the Hudson Valley and Northern New Jersey area since the home of the original Cookie Cake closed at the Nanuet mall.
This one, with 15 varieties of fresh-scooped cookies, several varieties of brownies — and the Cookie Cake — occupies 724 square feet on Level Three next to Macy’s.

To celebrate the opening, customers on Friday received a free cookie with every purchase. The store immediately attracted a line.
The store is owned and operated by London native Jamie Arkley, who immigrated to the Hudson Valley more than a decade ago. Arkley has always hoped to open his own business in America.
