Nanuet Man Arrested on Warrant from Pennsylvania

He's stopped on Route 59 by Sheriff's Department officer.

A Nanuet man is being held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility in New City awaiting extradiction proceedings to face a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol in Pennsylvania, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Department.

Jimmy Philippe, 27, of Nanuet, was stopped by a Sheriff's Department officer at about 2 a.m. Wednesday on Route 59 at Hemion Road. During the traffic stop, police said they discovered an active bench warrant for Philippe from Pennsyvania.

Philippe was arrested as fugutive from justice and arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court in New City, where he was ordered held in the county jail.
