• Sewage Improvements, Home Rule Authority Voting at Final 2025 Legislature Meeting (rocklandtimes.com) — If you live in Nanuet, expect higher sewer-related costs as Rockland County lawmakers approved an $87.8 million upgrade for Sewer District No. 1, which serves much of Clarkstown. The Legislature also backed a plan to create a new CR Clean Water & Sewer Authority, shifting control of sewer budgets and borrowing to a dedicated nine-member board for potentially faster infrastructure decisions.
