Paul Sponsors Communication & Leadership Workshop For Teens
Nanuet High School valedictorian Arnav Mehta shared his story of challenges and success.
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Local teens learned about the importance of good communication during a Youth Leadership Workshop sponsored by Rockland County Legislature Vice Chair Aney Paul.
“It was a great opportunity for our youth to learn why good communication is important along with ways they can improve their own skills,” Paul said. “I thank everyone who participated, including Kristin Ruggiero, 4-H Resource Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland, who led the program, and Bryce Breedyk, Assistant Director of the Rockland County Youth Bureau, who shared information about programs available to local youth.”
The theme of the workshop was “Communication & Leadership: Developing Interpersonal Skills for Success.” Participants learned how different situations require different communication and leadership techniques. Grace Matos, Youth Program Aide for the Rockland County Youth Bureau, also participated.
