Traffic Violation Leads to Felony DWI Charge in Nanuet
Stony Point man stopped on Middletown Road by Sheriff's Department officer.

A Stony Point man faces a felony drunken driving charge after he was stopped for a traffic violation in Nanuet, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Department.
Michael P. Snow, 33, of Stony Point was stopped at 3 a.m. Friday by a Sheriff's officer on Middletown Road. Police said that Snow appeared intoxicated when he was questioned.
Snow was charged with driving while intoxicated, police said, and the misdemeanor charge was upgraded to a felony when police found that Snow had been previously convicted of drunken driving on Oct. 7, 2003. A second DWI charge within 10 years brings felony status in New York, with tougher penalties with a conviction.
