NEW YORK CITY — A person on the tracks caused suspensions and delays to multiple MTA subway lines amid an already-slow rush hour, officials said.

Eleven subway lines were listed as suspended or delays as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the MTA's site.

The biggest snarl took place on the A, B, C, D and E lines in Manhattan, where NYPD officers grappled with an unauthorized person on the tracks near 168th Street, the MTA tweeted.

B, D and E trains saw delays amid the fracas, officials said.

Some B trains headed north shifted to express from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to 145th Street, according to the MTA.

Likewise, some E trains headed north made express stops from Canal Street to 42nd Street-Port Authority, an MTA post states.

Other delays were seen on the 1, 2 and 3 lines after a train's brakes were activated on the express track at Houston Street, a post states.

Trains along the 4, 5 and 6 lines were also delayed because of a brake activation, this time at 59th Street, officials said.
