2 Fake Maintence Workers Rob NYC Home, Take 20K In Cash, Jewelry

One of the suspects engaged in conversation with a 28-year-old man living in the house before pulling on a gun on him, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — Two men posing as maintenance workers robbed a home in Queens, stealing around $20,000 in cash and jewelry, police said.

The incident happened on Tuesday around 2 p.m. when the two men posing as maintenance workers gained access to a home in the vicinity of Gates Avenue and Fresh Pond Road, police said.

One of the suspects engaged in conversation with a 28-year-old man living in the house before pulling on a gun on him, police said.

The two men now both inside in the house, proceed to take around $18,000 in cash and a gold bracelet.

The suspects fled the location in a dark-colored SUV heading west on Gates Avenue, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance photos of the two suspects.
