2 Injured In NYC Courthouse Slashing, 7 People Taken Into Custody
The injured individuals were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

NEW YORK CITY — An alleged slashing in a Manhattan courtroom on Tuesday left two people injured, with police arresting seven people following the incident.
The slashing happened in a hallway outside a courtroom on the 13th floor of the Manhattan Supreme Court, located at 100 Centre Street, around 12:15 p.m., police said
The incident may have stemmed from an altercation between two rival gang factions. Two individuals were slashed with some kind of blade, according to multiple media reports.

The injured individuals were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
"New York State Court Officers immediately responded to the incident, facilitated transport to a local hospital, and initiated an investigation. The Court Officers took seven individuals into custody and recovered two sharp objects. The investigation remains ongoing,” State Office of Court Administration spokesperson Al Baker said in a statement.
