3 Hospitalized After Truck Takes Down Scaffolding On NYC Street
Department of Building officials said the partial collapse was caused by a truck striking the structure.

NEW YORK CITY — Three people were left injured after scaffolding partially collapsed from a building onto a Manhattan street, Monday morning.
The partial collapse happened at a building near W. 29th St., between 7th & 8th avenues, around 8 a.m., officials said.
Department of Building officials said the partial collapse was caused by a truck striking the structure.

One individual suffered a serious head injury, while the two others victims suffered minor injuries. All three people have been taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the truck is being questioned, but had a valid permit for facade work, officials said.
