3 Injured In NYC Shooting Outside Housing Complex

The incident happened in front of 40 Jackson St.

NEW YORK CITY — Three people were wounded in an early morning shooting in the Lower East Side on Tuesday.

The incident happened in front of 40 Jackson St. around 12:45 a.m., according to police and an AMNY report.

The location is listed as the Vladeck Houses public housing complex.

Officers found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the hand and a 33-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks.

A 30-year-old man was also found after the incident with a graze wound to the head and a gunshot wound to his right leg, police said.

Two of the shooting victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital and another was taken to Cornell Medical Center, police said.

Three individuals were taken into custody after the incident, though no charges have been filed as of Tuesday afternoon.

What led up to the shooting is not known at this time.
