NEW YORK CITY — The city medical examiner's office announced three more victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on Thursday.
Ryan Fitzgerald of Long Island and Barbara Keating of Palm Springs and an adult woman whose name is being withheld were named the 1651st, 1652nd and 1653rd victims who have been identified through DNA analysis.
"The pain of losing a loved one in the September 11th terror attacks echoes across the decades, but with these three new identifications, we take a step forward in comforting the family members still aching from that day," Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement.

The new identifications were made by testing new samples turned over by relatives, according to the medical examiner.
“Each new identification testifies to the promise of science and sustained outreach to families despite the passage of time. We continue this work as our way of honoring the lost,” Chief Medical Examiner Jason Graham said.
