6-Man Crew Nabbed, Pulled Off 40 Burglaries Across NYC: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — A group of thieves responsible for as many as 40 burglaries throughout New York City have been apprehended and are facing charges.
The final member of the crew, Jose Montenegro, 39, was arrested last Friday, police announced.
Authorities had been slowly taking down the crew, beginning with the arrests of Alexandar Medine, 52, and Steven Perez, 35.

Ivelisse Rodriguez, 32, Isaaahiah Rodriguez, 22 and Jesse Pinales, 30, were arrested last Wednesday, police said.
The six men face numerous burglary charges, police said.

The thieves mostly targeted laundromats and other businesses in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx, police said.
The robbery spree began back in March, with the most recent incident believed to have taken place in June, police said.
In most incidents, the suspects broke into businesses, stole coin machines, merchandise and cash from registers, police said. They struck during the overnight hours.
Twenty-eight incidents took place in Queens, 3 incidents took place in Brooklyn and 9 businesses in the Bronx were robbed, police said.
The crew's most recent robbery on June 24 saw the four suspects break into a Queens laundromat, stealing $1,800 in cash and a payment machine, police said.
