7 People Shot In Four Separate NYC Shootings, Police Say

NEW YORK CITY — Police are investigating four separate shootings that injured seven people across New York City on Thanksgiving Eve.

The first incident happened on Fulton and Jay Streets in downtown Brooklyn around 7:20 p.m., police said.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the leg and suffered a graze wound in the elbow. An 18-year-old woman was also shot in the right leg.

They were both taken to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition

Around 9:40 p.m. outside a building on Ryer Avenue in the Bronx, two men, 22 and 23, were shot. The 23-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to his foot, while the 22-year-old was shot in the thigh.

A third incident happened around 11:15 p.m., when a 24-year-old man was grazed in the head on 30th Drive near Vernon Boulevard in Astoria, police said.

The two suspects fled the scene in a black Jeep.

Minutes later, in the Bronx, two more people were shot outside a building on Melrose Avenue. A 22-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and arm, and a 25-year-old woman was shot in the chest.

Both victims were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

Police on Thursday released surveillance images of a suspect in this final shooting.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, black balaclava, black jeans, black sneakers and blue surgical gloves.

No arrests have been made in the shootings as of Friday morning.
